A note from Brian

Hi, I’m Rev. Brian Scott O'keefe — online I go by randomblink.

I had several strokes roughly 2–3 years ago. Since then, every day has been about recovery: getting used to a body that doesn’t always do what I ask, and coaxing my brain back into focus, memory, and flow. Some days are good; some are foggy. But I’m still here, still learning, still building.

I’m asking for help so I can keep healing while continuing my creative work. If you’ve ever read something I wrote, used something I built, or just believe in second chances—thank you for standing with me.

What your help makes possible

  • Therapy & health – out-of-pocket rehab sessions, meds, transportation to appointments.
  • Daily living – groceries, utilities, a little breathing room so recovery isn’t derailed.
  • Work reboot – quiet tools/time to rebuild my projects (including my LifeOS software), client outreach, and digital products that create sustainable income.

Immediate goal & monthly need

  • Immediate target: $3,500 to stabilize essentials (meds, groceries, a rehab block).
  • Monthly need: $1,200 / month to keep therapy going and cover basics during recovery.

(If you prefer, recurring monthly gifts help the most with steady rehab planning.)

Give what feels right

  • $15 – Coffee & cue cards
Helps with focus tools and small transport costs.
  • $35 – A week of staples
Groceries that keep the lights on inside the brain.
  • $75 – Utilities + meds top-up
Removes end-of-month stress that wrecks recovery.
  • $120 – One therapy session
Directly funds a neuro/physical therapy visit.
  • $250 – Maker fuel
Covers a week of work time + recovery breaks.
  • $400 – Rehab month boost
Moves a full month of therapy measurably forward.

FAQ

Is this tax-deductible?
Most personal gifts aren’t tax-deductible. If this routes through a 501(c)(3) partner, I’ll note it clearly; otherwise, please assume it’s not tax-deductible.

Can I give monthly?
Yes—monthly support keeps therapy consistent and lowers stress. It’s the most helpful option.

Can I help by hiring you?
Absolutely. Commissioning writing, UX/UI, or strategy work helps me rebuild a sustainable path. Light scopes welcome.

What if I can’t give?
Sharing the page with a sentence about why you care is powerful. Thank you.

Accessibility & dignity

Recovery is not a straight line. I’m being transparent without turning struggle into spectacle. Thank you for seeing the person first, not the injury.
